1. Our Privacy Architecture & Core Commitment

DriverCalc is designed from the ground up on a strict zero-data-harvesting architecture. As independent advocates for delivery couriers and rideshare drivers, we believe workers should never have to sacrifice their personal financial data, location traces, or trip earnings to verify whether a platform algorithm is treating them fairly.

Unlike commercial gig tracking applications that require account registrations, collect GPS tracks in the background, or sell aggregated trip data to third-party brokers, DriverCalc runs 100% locally inside your web browser’s volatile memory (RAM). No financial offer, mileage estimate, or fuel cost is ever transmitted to or logged on any external server.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, process, or sell any of the following:

• No Personal Identifiers: We do not ask for or collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, social media handles, or passwords. There are no user accounts.
• No Trip or Earnings Data: The offer payouts, distances, times, fuel rates, and profit figures you enter remain strictly inside your browser window. When you close or refresh the page, those numbers vanish from active memory.
• No Real-Time Geolocation Tracking: We never request access to your device's GPS or continuous location services. Country selections are chosen manually by you or detected once via browser locale preferences.
• No Invasive Analytics or Fingerprinting: We do not deploy canvas fingerprinting, biometric trackers, session replay scripts (e.g. Hotjar), or invasive ad trackers.

3. How We Use Browser Local Storage

DriverCalc uses the standard HTML5 localStorage API solely to preserve your convenience preferences across browser sessions on your device:

• Country & Unit Preference: Remembers your chosen country (currency and km vs. miles).
• Vehicle Cost Parameters: Saves your customized fuel price, consumption rating, and wear maintenance settings so you don't have to re-enter them on every visit.
• Profit Threshold Minimums: Stores your target $/mile, $/hour, and minimum net payout benchmarks.
• Display Theme: Remembers your preferred interface mode (Light, Dark, or System Auto).

This data is saved exclusively on your physical device and is never synchronized to the cloud. You can reset or erase this data at any moment by clicking "Reset to country defaults" or clearing your browser's site data.

4. Independent Status & Non-Affiliation

DriverCalc is an independent open utility. We are not owned by, affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by DoorDash, Uber, Lyft, Instacart, Grubhub, Amazon Flex, Deliveroo, Just Eat, iFood, Glovo, or any other gig platform. All registered trademarks and trade names are the property of their respective owners and are mentioned strictly for descriptive and comparative identification purposes.

Because DriverCalc operates without user registration or server-side personal data collection, our service inherently meets and exceeds the data minimization principles of major global privacy frameworks:

In its current release, DriverCalc utilizes zero tracking cookies and zero third-party advertising scripts. If third-party advertising or contextual sponsorships are introduced in future releases to support project server bandwidth, a certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) conforming to IAB Europe TCF v2.2 will be deployed to provide you with explicit opt-in controls.
